About batteries, SANYO is the worlds largest manufacturer of rechargeable batteries and one of the leaders in battery technology. They produce the majority of "brand name" batteries (Kodak, SONY, Canon, etc) for others under OEM deals.
SANYO has a very strict Quality process and they will discard any battery with unacceptable tolerances. Those that they sell under their brand name are the BEST OF THE BEST.
You may pay a small (or larger) premium for them, but it will save you A LOT of money and trouble in the long term. So prefer them over other brands.
Needless to say, stay away from no-brand China manufacturers like they have the plague.
Same applies to custom lithium or Metal Hydrate batteries for your beloved camera or camcorder. You dont want to see them explode or catch fire when charging....
